Another reason to be concerned about your Facebook security settings
Facebook’s decision to turn a friends-only network into a public data feed is not just bad for members, it’s great for spammers, scam artists and creeps. http://bit.ly/7GvDG9 USA Today article.

Two privacy settings to double-check on FB: 1. Your photo albums (public by default) and 2. Application settings under Privacy: “What your friends can see.”
This last one should be easier to find. Why? Because your friends can share your info with outside developers — that means anyone, really.

Thanks for the comment, Derek. I agree, it’s worth spending a little time to investigate each of these settings. I was surprised and dismayed to learn that my default privacy settings had been switched to “share with everybody”. I’ve heard from other FB members that they did not have the same experience, so perhaps this was an unintentional glitch.
