Mainstream Media/TV has and still is an illusion at best and a propaganda/control mechanism at worst...and thats why the mass migration to internet viewing evolved - the audience is way past the saturation point - 20 years ago the average person was subjected to about 5000 "calls to action" per day. Now it's something north of 25,000! And the real kicker is that the status quo will always have a finger on the scales...and the best we can do is to surrender unto Ceaser, what is Ceasers...
I guess we're heading from "living our best life" to " best surviving our life"...summed up best by this clip from the movie "Network" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zI5hrcwU7Dk&feature=related
